Dear Jasper Families,
There have been many rumors circulating regarding the structure of our classes for the 2023-2024 school year. We will be adding an additional 2nd grade teacher due to the increase in students for that grade level. It is imperative for our class sizes to remain as small as possible in grades K-3.
In order to do this, the administration team is recommending to the board a restructuring of our "special" classes. Contrary to what you may have heard, students will still receive technology throughout each school day. We have one-to-one technology for all grade levels. Students will continue receiving technology daily within the general curriculum, as well as a focus on technology within the library/media "special" class.
In addition to the technology that the students will continue to receive daily, local partnerships will still be maintained to provide our students with special activities and projects throughout the school year.
Hopefully this will provide a better understanding of how we will continue providing the best educational experiences for our Little Streaks as we proceed into the 2023-2024 school year. As always, please let me know if you have any further questions.
