Welcome to the home of the hardest rockin’ band in the land, the Piketon High School Rockin’ Redstreak Band! 

Consisting of students in grades 7-12, the Rockin’ Redstreak Band is the show piece of the band program within the Scioto Valley

Local Schools.  Students within the Rockin’ Redstreak Band are leaders within the school and respected throughout the community.

Students involved in the band are very diverse.  All of them are involved in some sort of other activity, be it church, school, athletics,

community, or work, in addition to being involved in the band.

Rehearsing five days a week during the eighth period of the school day, students are consistently exposed to the highest caliber literature as well as performance techniques.  Receiving heterogeneous instruction, as well as sectional and individualized lessons, involved students become well-rounded musicians who are able to analyze and develop the skills necessary for a superior performance.

The Piketon Rockin’ Redstreak Band offers several performance venues and opportunities for involved students.  Through the existence of several performing groups within the high school program, students will have the opportunity to participate in sporting events, collegiate athletics, formal concerts, solo and ensemble, jazz, and many others.
