Todd Peitz

Todd Peitz is currently in his tenth year as Director of Bands for the Scioto Valley Local Schools.  Prior to his appointment to this position, he held similar postions in the Arlington Local Schools and the Port Clinton City Schools.  A strong advocate of a comprehensive musical education within the instrumental medium, Mr. Peitz's band have been recognized for their achievement and growth.

A2003 graduate of the University of Toledo with a major in Music Education, Mr. Peitz has studied conducting under Dr. Brant Karrick, tuba performance under Dr. Martin Erickson, Dr. Louis Young, Dr. Michael Hall, and Jason Jordan, and vocal technique and conducting under Steven Hodge. While at the University of Toledo, Mr. Peitz was involved in the Symphonic Band, the Rocket Marching Band, the Chorale, and the Men’s Chorus.   In addition to his university work, Mr. Peitz has also had the opportunity to work with Dr. Milton Allen, Dr. Frank Tracz, Dr. Timothy Mahr, Dr. Russell Mickelson, and Mr. Timothy Reynish.  Mr. Peitz has also completed a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership through Ohio University.

Within the Scioto Valley Local Schools, Mr. Peitz serves as the director for the instrumental ensembles in grades 5-12. He currently teaches classes in music theory, appreciation, and history.

In his free time, Mr. Peitz enjoys playing golf, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
